Thank you, thank you, thank you, my clients love the system two have fallen deeply asleep on their fronts ... it’s great. I have recommended it to my colleagues/friends and one client has raved about it so much to her osteopath that I have been asked to loan mine out to her for a trial. Many thanks!”
Angela Vigus, Therapist – West Mids “What can a say but..... "bloody brilliant!". I have a rather large client who now is more comfortable during her massage. Before using the comfy cushion, I would have to really go up the dip of the lumbar back when doing the massage, but with the comfy cushion her back is straight, no dip / curve, the difference is amazing. I can't image doing a massage without it. It's a simple idea that will benefit clients of all ages and sizes, it just helps to add an extra special something to a treatment, which makes me as a therapist feel I have given a 100% and more to a treatment. I think you and your sister have come up with a simple idea that helps reduce discomfort and makes the whole massage far more enjoyable. “
Janet Creed, Serenity Salon – Birmingham : “I just wanted to write and thank you for your wonderful cushion system.I must admit, when I first made the couch up it looked lumpy, bumpy and untidy and took a bit of practice to get the towels tidy, but I have used it for several clients now and when I had a treatment myself experiened the comfort and for the first time ever my head/face were comfortable while lying face down! Everyone who has used it has said how comfortable it is, took a little bit of getting used to at first but once relaxed I've had people fall asleep (quicker than usual!) and feedback that people have slept really well that night. I did watch the DVD a few times to make sure I had everything in the correct position and have to say its the best money I've spent I feel it has already paid for itself in client comfort. Thank you for your invention.
Feel Good Therapies – Hants: "I have had great feedback from my clients, trouble is they're so comfortable I can't get them off the couch!"
Rosie Bower , Therapist- Jersey: “Its fantastic and has made such a difference to clients and I feel I am delivering a better treatment”.
Inspirations – Stafford :“It is fabulous all my clients love it and find it extremely comfy”.
D Marsh Beauty – Caerphilly: “I bought your comfy client cushions and have been using them for a few weeks now!! The feedback has been great, especially for my bigger bossomed clients!! Doing a Back Massage is definitely more comfortable for them. I also like how you can pull the cushions out to create arm rests when doing facials”.
Annita Marshall, Therapist-Powys: “cushion is fab much better for the female form!”
Sue Charlesworth, Therapist- Wirral “Having very good feedback from clients. One lady said she can't usually lie flat on her back but was fine with the cushion and I was able to work much deeper under scapular and into rhomboid muscle”.
Beauty by Vanda - Norfolk:"The comfy cushion has been amazing. So much so now that it feels odd not having it there, although that is now very rare. I use it for all my facials, including eye treatments, waxing and so and so on!
I would have no hesitation in recommending the cushion to anyone, it is the best investment I have made so far!"
Pain Clinic London: "Since trialling the cushions I have purchased my own set - I had to my clients insisted. I would also like to add that since I've been carrying out my treatments, massage and reflexology, using the Comfy Client cushions I have seen a remarkable increase in my business. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Comfy cushions to any therapist".
Aroma Massage – Norfolk: I am so pleased with my comfy cushion, the client feedback has been fantastic. My first lady to trial the cushion gave me a big hug after her treatment, cant be bad! The team at comfy client were great to deal with and no hard selling, just two therapists who are passionate about their fantastic product. I would highly recommend the cushion for any therapist who is thinking of buying one.
" I have had physio and sports massage before, and always felt discomfort when lying face down. I am now so comfortale and can't feel one pressure point anywhere - it is bliss!" Dave Vickers, Staffordshire
"I was worried about massage as i've recently had a mastectomy. I'm amazed just how comfortable lying face down can be; i could do with one at home". Breast cancer patient
"After having the cushion on trial for 2 weeks i have ordered a set. The cushions have made a great difference to my patients. I would highly recommend the Comfy Client Cushion to all therapists offering body work". Physiotherapist - Leek, Staffs Moorlands
"My daughter bought me a gift voucher for a full body massage as i live with aches & pains on a daily basis. I felt reluctant at having to lie in any position for a long time. The couch was very comfortable and supported me in all the right places. I felt very cossetted!" Margaret -Arthritic Client, Stoke on Trent
"My hands now comfortably slide down the clients back when i give an upper back neck & shoulder massage after a facial. Great for me; no straining, and no pinching of my clients skin. I used to always catch the skin of larger clients and had to really put pressure on my hands to slide around the upper shoulders & lower neck. Not any more. It's brilliant. Thank you!"
Vicky -Beautician, Tranquillity Salon, Stoke on Trent.

As a complementary therapist working in palliative care, I have found the Comfy Client
system has changed the therapies I carry out on a personal level as well as providing huge benefits for the people I treat. Many people I see are in a lot of discomfort, so the additional support provided by the cushions is certainly appreciated. Patients who have had operations to their breast area enjoy the lack of pressure to this very sensitive area. One lady has commented that she feels as if she is being hugged throughout her therapy sessions.
I also work with children with life-limiting conditions and the system works with them as well. Placing a baby or small child in the opening of the largest cushion gives me “an extra pair of hands” during a session and prevents them rolling about. This too has proven to be very relaxing with the little ones falling asleep!
On the whole the Comfy Client has changed how I carry out therapy sessions and I wouldn’t part with them. I’ve noticed that I get less aches and pains because access to the person I am working with is improved, especially to the back and neck.

Comfy Cushions Boosts Business
Published 6 Apr 2009 by sharon[Talk about it]
When I first came across an ad in Massage World for a new cushion system to be honest I didn't really give it a second thought;just a set of cushions I mused. What I didn't realise at the time is quite what a huge impact these cushions would have on my therapy business!
I was thumbing through my copy of Massage World in the Autumn of last year when I first came across an ad for a set of cushions appropriately named 'The Comfy Client'. The ad invited me to send away for a free DVD and not being one to miss out on a freebie I did. Having watched the DVD a couple of times I could immediately see how such a product could benefit my clients and I was keen to actually try the product out so I contact the firm.
The Comfy Cushion system is the brainchild of a therapist called Carol May along with Carol's partner Julian Hawthorne, and they have developed the cushion system over the last four years They also took into consideration the input and feedback from other therapists and have addressed such issues as:-
-
Hand and wrist pressure
-
Difficult to slide hands under clients shoulder when finishing a facial
-
Unable to effectively work upper trapezium and neck muscles during a head massage when client is lying face up
-
Pinching of larger clients skin when performing head, neck & shoulder massage whilst client is lying face up
-
Clients suffered discomfort when lying face down during spa wrap, detox & ionithermie treatment
And from the clients point of view the issues addressed are:-
-
Lying face down was uncomfortable and pressed on the breast tissue
-
They felt claustrophobic in the face hole and head rest
-
A red ring was left on the face after being in the face hole
-
The lower back would start to ache after a while
-
Neck ached and had to keep turning it one side then the other
-
Unable to totally relax and let go
-
Discomfort & lack of support for pregnant ladies
-
Discomfort in hips & lower back for arthritic clients
-
Men felt pressure on their genitalia
Since trialling the cushions I have purchased my own set - I had to my clients insisted. I would also like to add that since I've been carrying out my treatments, massage and reflexology, using the Comfy Client cushions I have seen a remarkable increase in my business. And it is for this reason that I have decided to share my experience with my fellow therapists. At the next group AGM I will bringing my comfy cushions along with me and will gladly demonstrate just what a difference they make to a treatment and you are all invited. If, in the meantime you can't wait and want more info then you can visit the Comfy Client website on www.thecomfyclient.org Looking forward to seeing you on 22nd April
